Boise had a wintering Eurasian Wigeon at Ann Morrison park. It was easy to see with its redder head and white front as it grazed on the park grass along with the American Wigeons.

I started birding in July 2005. Lynn Davenport asked if I wanted to go on a walk with him down by the lake. He handed me a pair of crumy binoculars and away we went. I was impressed by the variety of birds that I had never before taken the time to notice. It was an instant addiction. It is a nerdy hobby, but it gets me outdoors, has the thrill of the hunt, and helps me appreciate the creations of God.
